STUDYING IN COURSES OF HOLISTIC MUSIC THERAPY AT THE PHILOSOPHICAL UNIVERSITY OF ICV
FACULTIES OF PALACKÝ UNIVERSITY IN OLOMOUC

Holistic music therapy has existed in the Czech Republic since 1991 in the form of the "CMLH" method.
- Holistic Music Therapy by Lubomír Holzer". At the beginning it is essential to note that the term
"holistic" has a primarily philosophical meaning and basis. Lubomír Holzer created the method mentioned above
in 1993 and has continued to develop for more than 28 years. He is its exclusive author. The roots of the method
but they date back to 1983. Lubomir Holzer is a top professional and EACM professional
certified music therapist, professional guarantor, music therapy lecturer, teacher and organizer
and a supervisor. Since 1983 he has been engaged in music therapy, i.e. thirty-seven years of music therapy
practice, which means at least 26,000 hours of direct music therapy practice with children,
youth and clients with mental, sensory, physical and combined disabilities,
clients with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD, with various disabilities,
with clients with Alzheimer's disease and the elderly, demented elderly, with etopedic clients
and with clients from other health and social groups. Holistic music therapy can
study within the framework of lifelong learning courses at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University
in Olomouc. Holistic Music Therapy at ICV FF UP Olomouc is a complex system of
education in music therapy at the highest professional level with a university guarantee and long-term
accreditation by the Ministry of Education. Evidence of the wide interest are also foreign students from Slovakia, Poland,
Serbia, the Philippines and the USA (graduates of the courses work abroad, in the EU and outside the EU), who
has been studying continuously since 2003. We now have more than thirty foreign
graduates. The study takes place within the framework of lifelong learning courses at the ICV FF UP Olomouc.
It currently has three follow-up degrees. Each has three semesters: CM 1 - 180 hours (newly
210 h), CM 2 - 180 hours (now 210 h) and CM 3 - 370 hours of full-time teaching. Participants
can therefore complete a total of 790 hours of music therapy training, practical
and experiential training and teaching. CM 3 also includes self-experience training and supervision.
Graduates of all three levels of the holistic music therapy courses (CM 1 - CM 3) are
comprehensively, at the highest level prepared for the profession of music therapist. After proper
Graduates receive a certificate of completion for each degree.

EACM - European Association of Holistic Music Therapy
EACM European Association of Holistic
Music Therapy, z.s. brings together all those interested in holistic music therapy, the CMLH method.
The purpose of the association is to create a professional background and professional and human support for its members,
Promotion and development of holistic music therapy, the aforementioned method, bringing together music therapists
working with the method of holistic music therapy PaedDr. Lubomír Holzer (CMLH), music therapist
studying the mentioned method as well as music therapists and people interested in holistic music therapy
or sympathetic to it, to collect and disseminate information about holistic music therapy among the professional
and the general public, to cooperate with other experts and associations in the health sectors,
education, social services. The EACM also aims to promote vocational training in the field of
Holistic music therapy at Palacký University in Olomouc and in other educational
institutions, systematic work on the development and dissemination of music therapy in all types of schools
and educational institutions, social services, health care and in all fields of human activity
and the functioning of society and human beings. The EACM seeks to constitute music therapy as
an independent field, applicable in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health and all other departments where it will be
the need and advocacy for related legislative changes.
